Kirktonhall

Kirktonhall is the Birthplace of Professor Robert Simpson in 1687, accomplished mathematician and Professor at Glasgow University for over fifty years. The building was gifted to the people of West Kilbride, the beautiful landscaped gardens compliment this imposing building and provide a wonderful backdrop for the walkways and themed gardens of Kirktonhall Glen.

West Kilbride also has a museum that is considered to be among the best small town museums in Scotland. Started in 1988 by a group of dedicated people, the aim is to depict life in the Parish over the past 400 years, portraying the history, development and traditions of the area. Awarded Registration status by the Scottish Museums Council.
