We are delighted to report that Gary Hamilton successfully completed the Run to the Beat half marathon in 2 hours last Sunday (5 October).

I got off to a bad start in the morning, my 25 minute journey to the 02 (formerly the Millennium Dome) took 3.5 hours due to a train being derailed on the Jubilee line. We came to a halt between Waterloo and Canada Water stations. When we eventually moved the train took us to Canada Water and not North Greenwich where we were headed. Hundreds of competitors got off at Canada Water walking aimlessly trying to get to the start.
