Happy Hills Studios Now Open

All those involved in West Kilbride Initiative Ltd and the Craft Town were delighted when Jamie Moffat announced that the Moffat Charitable Trust had purchased the derelict cottages at the corner of Happy Hills and Main Street. A particularly well-loved area of the town, Jamie"s mother Mrs Moffat Snr had been determined to safeguard the buildings from demolition.

As long-term supporters of WKCIL and the Craft Town, the generosity of the Moffat family has once again provided us with a much needed boost in the shape of four craft studio workshops and a small display area. This now brings the total of craft studios to 8, with 7 makers working from "the village".

We are currently seeking a craft maker to join the Happy Hills studios, they must design and make work from any of the following disciplines: Ceramics, Textiles, Lettering, Metalwork, Musical Instruments Paper, Automata, and Furniture/Wood.

To request an application form, please send a stamped, self addressed envelope to: Maggie M. Broadley, The Gallery, 75/77 Main Street, West Kilbride, KA23 9AP
