New Exhibition at The Gallery, West Kilbride

Tuesday to Friday 10am till 4.30pm, Saturday 10am until 4 pm.

Craft Town Scotland is a haven for those who value skill, individuality and community spirit.


The emphasis remains on the presentation of innovative work within the light, airy space of The Gallery". The exhibition features the stunning conceptual glass of Julia Malle, one of this summer's graduates from the Glass and Architectural Glass Degree course at the Edinburgh College of Art Julia has won a scholarship, which will enable her to continue with two years postgraduate study at ECA.

John Ferrry graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1985 and now lives in West Kilbride. Since graduating, he has held Scottish Arts Council & British Council funded residencies and exhibited work throughout the UK and Europe. Many of his recent paintings are influenced by the coastal environment of Ayrshire, Scotland.

John is currently employed as Senior Learning & Access Curator with Glasgow Museums, Culture & Sport Glasgow.

Julie Langan Glass, based in Liverpool, is an inspirational contemporary design studio who specialise in the creation of unique and innovative pieces of glass art. The pieces usually in the form of panels can be integrated into both interior and exterior architectural spaces or simply displayed as individual pieces of art.

Julie has also created a popular range of giftware.

Leona Stewart works with lead and copper foiled glass from her base in Ayr. "Products that I create include window panels, window hangings, mirrors and table lights using traditional techniques with lead and copper foil.
