Running to the Beat in Aid of Barony Development

The Directors of the Initiative are delighted that Gary Hamilton, West Kilbride 'local hero', will run the London Half Marathon on the 5th of October 2008 and donate all proceeds to the Barony Fund.

Gary was part of the team of volunteers who deliver and uplift furniture for the 'famous' Saturday morning Barony Furniture Sales, proceeds of which are directed back into the local community - the stamina needed for all that lifting and shifting should see him in good stead as he Runs to the Beat".

West Kilbride Community Initiative Ltd is registered on the "Just Giving" fundraising site and Gary has his own fundraising page on the site.

Gary says:

"I am running the Run to the Beat half marathon in London on 5 October 2008 to raise funds for West Kilbride Community Initiative to transform the Barony into a multi-purpose arts and events venue.
