Craft Town Scotland Late Night Shopping

The Gallery, Initiative Centre and Craft Studios will be open from 6 until 9pm as part of the Yuletide Late Night Shopping event.

Get into the Christmas spirit with Santas parade, Childrens rides, live entertainment, mulled wine, mince pies, prize draws and late night local shopping, all at West Kilbrides Yuletide night.

Why not help welcome the festive season by taking part in the parade of light, which will follow Santa's sleigh. Everyone is welcome to join the parade and light up West Kilbride with torches, lanterns and glow sticks. Santa's Parade starts at 6.00pm from West Kilbride Train station.

The Gallery, 75/77 Main Street has a range of high calibre ceramics, jewellery, glassware, textiles and fashion accessories, hand knitted and felted fashion accessories, wire sculpture and applied textiles for sale from some of the U.K"s top quality designer makers.

The Initiative Centre, 86 Main Street sells work from Ayrshire crafters and artists. Wood turned bowls, vases, lampshade bases and pens etc. are displayed alongside straw silk vases and decorative bowls. Glassware and stained glass sits alongside beautiful beadwork and silver jewellery.

All proceeds from The Gallery and Initiative Centre sales contribute to the development of West Kilbride Community Initiative Ltd and Craft Town Scotland.

Susan Roberts, "Heart of Glass" Stained & Fused Glass Studio Happy Hills (re-located from Studio 30 Ritchie Street): Beautiful dichroic glass pendants, cufflinks, fused bowls,glass mosaics and leaded glasswork.

Lorna Reid, Chookiebirdie, Studio 117 Main Street: Exclusive hand stitched accessories for you and your home, incorporting recycled textiles - designed and made to the highest standards.

Lilith Green, "Old Maiden Aunt", Studio 99b Main Street (new crafter): Lillith is an established and respected wool spinner and dyer who either handpaints or handspins (& often both!) skeins that are often one-off yarns.
