Craft Town Scotland is delighted to announce its participation in this years “Doors Open Day” event at Hunterston Castle. The event offers the chance to explore some of Scotland’s most interesting buildings, ancient and modern – free of charge.
Working in partnership with Angus Cochran Patrick, whose family built the castle about the year 1200, plans are underway to stage a craft exhibition and accompanying basket weaving, ceramics, jewellery, millinery and wood carving demonstrations.
There are other activities planned, including an archery demonstration and Scottish country dancers accompanied by a pipe band – the next newsletter will be able to confirm the full programme.
