Gallery

“The Gallery” acts as a focus for the Craft & Design Town and aims to highlight the diverse range of quality craft and design produced by contemporary and traditional designer makers.

The refurbished gallery occupies a prime site within the Main Street and was unoccupied for several years before it’s transformation into a bright, airy exhibition space. Supported by Scottish Enterprise Ayrshire, West Kilbride Community Initiative Ltd also received sponsorship from Air Tricity and the British Nuclear Group in addition to its own fundraising activities to finance the development of “The Gallery”.

Primarily intended as an opportunity to exhibit the work of professional designer makers, a programme of talks and demonstrations is being developed to complement exhibitions. A collection of work from the studios in West Kilbride will also be on display.
